Alex, I was worried it might fall apart on me!
That is probably a bit unkind but it doesn't look very strong.

Here are the specs Lip,
The Williamson Jet Popper has a 38mm cup face with jet holes through the face and out the sides of the neck, to create plenty of bloop and bubbles. With a 120g weight and 175mm length, this is a popper for big fish and long casts.

There are strong crane swivels and heavy duty split rings at all three connection points, flash foil sides, rattles, and 6X-strong VMC trebles.

Cheers Zac

Poppers okay but ditch the split rings and hooks. Have had them open up already. Gets a lot of hits and a bit easier on the arm than the Haymakers.

but Sachin, they're supposed to be heavy duty split rings and 6X strong VMC trebles!  ;)

That's what Williamson/Rapala would have us believe Brandon but I get the feeling the GTs understand Owner/Decoy/Gamakatsu specs a little better.

Anyone got any ideas as to who some of his sponsors may be?
Either way he needs to meet some super tough GTs.
Couple of issues ago NZ Fishing News had an article with Mark Kitteridge popper fishing in Tonga and his Jet Popper came back with straightened hooks. I have seen it here in Fiji as well so there we go. I have eight of the Jet Poppers but they all have Owner terminals.
Speaking of Fiji if anyone on the forum is thinking of heading this was now might be a good time to do it. They were absolutely mental on Saturday (Oct 11). Just pick your moon phase correctly.
