Title: WTB: PE10 Popping Rod - SUGGESTIONS????
Post by: Chris Webster on May 25, 2011, 09:00:46 AM
Hey Guys,

I am looking for a PE10 popping rod. About 8ft long, able to work poppers to 150g but also able to work a stickbait if need be.

I know there are a lot of rods that fit this description but here is the catch........ i can only spend up to $700 (absolute max) delivered.

Happy to purchase a second hand rod in great condition.

Was thinking a RF 79R or at an extreme the GT79H but these don't really fit the budget.

Have considered the Smith range or rods but they are too short for my preference.

Currently considering the 'Kaiser El Toro 15 GT V2'.

Any thoughts, suggestions, offers etc........

Cheers,

Chris

I agree with the Race Point made by Salty Water Tackle.
There is a 8'2 coming out some time at the end of June.
Great back bone and excellent with stick baits and can cast a good distance. Im getting mine when they are on the market.
