Title: Be Careful where you fish
Post by: Doug Terry on February 21, 2018, 08:08:49 AM
Last year my mate went on a fishing holiday to the Sudan arranged by a British company specializing in fishing holidays.
We have just applied for our ESTA's as we are of to Aitutaki ( Cook Islands) in September and will fly there Via Los Angeles
My ESTA was approved no problem however Pete's was refused by Homeland Security as Sudan is on the Terrorists list by the Americans.  this also applies to los roques
He now has to go to the American Embassy in London to apply in person for a Visa.
As he is now considered a Terrorist risk.
Bearing in mind we won't even be leaving Lax airport.

That's crazy but i guess its the world be now live in now days.
At least he has the opportunity to present himself to the embassy and plead his case.

The embassy granted him his visa but it will 7-10 days then he has to drive 20 miles to go and get it.
And present ID they won't post it.
