Post by: Jay Burgess on February 05, 2008, 04:06:20 PM
Could anyoine tell me how much PE8 Avani GT you could fit on a 10000 spool and alternatively, how much 100lb xp tuf line (aprox)?

PE8 on STL10000 = 175 - 185 metres

Tuf Line XP 100lb diameter = 0.021 inches = 0.5334 millimeters, therefore you can fit around 135 metres.

Hope my calculations are correct. It would be good if someone else also tried because i am not 100% sure.

I know the Tuffline Cap. is about 120m if you dont fill the spool right up   BUT it depends on how much you fill the spool. I leave abit for leaders
