Title: Rod to suit Blueheaven L50
Post by: Zac Chilvers on March 19, 2008, 06:22:59 PM
Hi I'm chasing some options for a rod for my blueheaven L50. I have loaded it up with PE6 YGK (86lb) and will be jigging in water depth varying from 35m to 100m max and probably won't use jigs more than 300g. The reel itself is good for about 10kg of drag so just wondering what people are using.

Cheers Zac

Hi Zac,
I have a L-50 coming.  I intend to run PE5 Varivas and mount the reel on a JiggingMaster 250g rod for jigs 200g-300g.  This is the ideal combination IMO.

I am looking at a blue heaven to match my jm400..... although I already have a reel on that setup maybe I will get a new jm400 spiral wrapped for something different. also getting the jm250 made up at the moment for smaller gulf kingies.(can you tell what brand of jigging rods are my favourite ;D)
