Title: A rod to get started?
Post by: Warwick Joyce on July 08, 2008, 08:35:21 PM
Hi all,

I want to get a rod for the occasional jigging session, however it will also double as a rod for perhaps trolling or livebaits. I wont be chasing monsters from the deep but i expect to get amongst fish up to 20kg?

I will be using my stella 10k with a 20k spool for now until the time comes where I require a more dedicated jigging reel.

So i was thinking maybe the T-curve 200 Deep jig or something from the jigwrex range? I'm looking to keep the price around the 200 mark if possible ;)

Cheers

Hi mate I just bought a JigWrex PE6 spinning rod for $250 and for the price it's an awesome rod for the time being till I am able to upgrade.  You might prefer the extra length of the Tcurve however and that is a factor.
