Title: Butt/Midd Joint
Post by: Travis Pantohan on June 05, 2012, 01:20:19 PM
Aloha

Been looking at some shore GT popping rod blanks.  Majority are Butt joints, also seen some mid joints.  What do you guys prefer if fishing from shore?  What would you say would be advantages and disadvantages of a butt/mid joint.  Mahalos

If you are not restricted by air travel get a solid blank without joints.  How long of a blank are you looking for?

Something between the 9'6 - 10'6 range. Pairing with a Stella !0K.  Mahalo

That length should be 2pcs for easy transport, don't worry about butt/mid joint.
Cheers,
