Title: Stella 10000SW drag
Post by: Adrian Braun on September 01, 2012, 09:17:34 AM
How is the drag performance of this reel with original drag washers? Do they need a drag upgrade or the original washers are fine?

You can't buy aftermarket washers for a Stella spool. The 10000sw drag is awesome anyway, it doesn't have as much practical drag pressure as some of the aftermarket spools but for pe6 is still plenty and very smooth.

Smooth Drag released carbon fiber washers for both 10000FA and 10000SW models this year, so now you can buy them. These are only 3 upper washers, because as i inderstand, lower washers are already carbon fibre and do not need replacement.

I had some Carbontex washer for my Stella 10000SW which i got made for me i changed the bottom drag washer and the top ones but i found them to be not as good as the Factory ones they weren't as smooth even with Cal's drag grease and the max drag pressure was about the same so i went back to using the original ones .
