Title: Fiji Popping
Post by: Brad Burgess on June 26, 2014, 08:18:44 AM
Hi Fisho's,

Any recommendations for any fishing guides for a day or two of popping in Fiji? Heading there mid July.

Thanks in advance.

Brad

Which part of Fiji are you going to?

I'm going to Kadavu and Taveuni next year.  I'm looking at this outfitter:http://fiji-sportfishing.com/.  There's a picture of Sami with a large GT if you scroll through the pics!  I think he said it was the lodge record.

Brad mate i was just there last week.

Looked up guides and charters but unless you plan to book the whole boat it is hard to get on until you get there.

I was with the Mrs scouting wedding locations and didnt get ti wet a line and bot through lack of trying.

Hope you have better luck than i did.

Cheers,

CW

July is cooler time of year probably a bit slower on the GT front. If you're on the mainland speak to Mango Bay on the Coral Coast.
Wahoo season over winter.
