Hi all,
Let´s see if anyone here could help me. I´m looking for a spinning reel for 10-20lb blufin tuna. I will use small jigs 30-40gr or 20-30 stickbaits.
I´m not decided between daiwa catalina 4020pe h or certate 3012h. I would prefer certate but i´m afraid it could be a bit light or small.
I know there is the certate hyper custom 4000 but it is an old model and it is a low speed reel.
Thanks,
Iñigo

Are you talking about Longtail Tuna aka Northern Bluefin or "real" Bluefin?
If you're chasing Longtail Tuna from a boat a Certate 3012H will be enough, from the rocks or for real Bluefin Tuna (could always be a bigger one in there) it would be very risky almost bound to go wrong.
Topic is half a year old but there's now a Saltiga 4000H available, so if it has to be Daiwa you could now get a top end reel in that size with a high gear ratio and the normal deep spool (300m pe3 or a load of pe2). If you already bought a Saltiga 4020peh you could get an extra 4000 spool and have plenty of capacity in case you hook a larger model or want to use it for a heavier line class.
Cheers

Shimano Saragosa 5000 will be a good option.
