Wan, its dead simple honestly - if you do the short cut.

2-3 months is a joke!

I had a Shimano tech at an authorised dealer do all of mine. If I wanted I could have picked them on the same I day I took them in, but left all of the reels there for a routine clean and grease.

It clearly is a simple process.

yup..yup...2-3 months is norm for Shimano Malaysia Service Center.
Now, i am searching guys who can open up stella 01 & 08 with confident, do it in reasonable time frame, able to service them without any problems and have stocks of replacement parts.

Hi Wan

I have a tutorial I did on Alan's site for the 20k - it is easy to follow and will get you to the stage of removing the trip (piece by piece).. Would do it for you if you were in Dubai  :) - link below

Clem I have seen your brilliant tutorial on a 20000 dis-assembly before. Quite superb work.  I used it for the first time a while ago to break down the drag assembly, clean and grease it.  Thanks very much for taking the trouble to put this up for all to see.

Removed the bail trip from mine last night following Peters method of ripping out the part with needle nosed pliers.Very simple to do & will feel a lot more confident casting now. Thanks to all for the info. shared.

Need to remove the bail trip from my Twinpower 5K any chance of posting or guiding me to the links of the quick method of ripping the part out with a needle nose pliers.

Being casting lures off with the arm closing during casting!

Thanks

Craig
