the other one is regarded as one of the great bonefish locations in the world but there are serious GTs there too

Although Fly folk have been targetting them on the flats I think the offshore poppering is a seriously untouched mecca! Aside from the occassional adveturous Japanese GT adveturer nd the few ozzie fly fishos that pop as well, the guides over there said hardly anyone has had a serious dig.

Can't wait for the airlines to come online again (direct flights are currently suspended).... I've already got a standing booking for a two week stint as soo as it all falls together  ;D

Well, will be heading to Christmas Island (Indian Ocean) this June. As this will be my first trip there, I need some pointers from those experinced guys who fished there before? PE 6 or 8 will do? I'll be mostly doing popping, so hoping to get some YFT and doggies as well?  :P.

There are some BIG GTs at Christmas Island. I'd consider PE8 as a minimum and perhaps even PE10.

Thanks guys!

Just bought Hot's Gipang 79XH, hope this will do the job... ::). Wish to hear some review for this rod as well.

Anyway, heard there are sharkssss in C.I and they considered it as pest. So it's common there just getting 'fish head' back after the fight. Anyway to 'beat' the sharks to the catch?

Many thanks,

Adrian.
