Title: G2 in action
Post by: Abdel Ibrahim on May 19, 2011, 10:13:24 PM
Here is a link to a short vid I made of the G2.  The weather was not behaving well this afternoon.  I may reshoot on a better day.

I've built prototypes in 205mm, 225mm, 245mm, and 265mm.  I'm gearing up to make the smallest model in the coming weeks.  Larger sizes will follow later in the year.

Hi Abdel,

Can you give us corresponding weights? What is the lure made from?

It looks like a fast action retrieve lure which is unique as alot GT type surface baits require a slower action to get the nose down and the action working.

How does it go with a slower action?

Nice work on this lure it looks like it could really fire the fish up.

Hi there,

The weights are as follows:

205 -  90grams
225 -  120grams
245 -  160grams
265 -  190 grams

I'm still testing a variety or weight settings for the 245 and 265, so there may be some variance in the production models.

As for the video, that's a demonstration of a fast retrieve, but you can work these plugs slow with short dives as well.  It's a tight rolling S motion that zig zags on a slower retrieve.

Holler if you have any more questions.
