Well after a lot of umming and arring I hooked the boat on this morning to go and chase some GT's. The wind was light, but the sky looked pretty bad actually.
Fortunately though I dodged the storms and ended up having some awesome action on big GT's. Got about half a doz and then quit 'cause my arms were too sore and there were some nasty looking storms building.
Here's a few pics. Apologies for the quality as I was on my own.
cheers,
steve

Good to see someone is getting amongst them. Been too long since I've been able to get out >:(

Nice work steve! Great effort to do the solo pics! The east coast sure has had a hammering with the weather of late :(
Whats the deal with the leader in the 3rd pic down?
-
Thanks guys, it was a pretty good day really. Only fished for about two hours and was stuffed afterwards. It's a bit tricky flying solo 'cause the fish pull the boat around a bit and if they really want to get to a rock it's hard to stop them without someone driving.
John, yeah I was watching a few storms nearby. Managed to stay dry somehow but it was touch and go.
Warwick, that's just one of my dodgy twisted leaders. Must put a few more twists in it next time!
cheers,
steve

G'day Steve, do you know what the bigger fish there weighed? Did you take any measurements?
-
Didn't weigh it Jay, but measured 112cm (total length). Probably in the 20's at a guess.
