Went for a run with Fraser today chasing trevs. First stop on the way out and Fraser was straight into the sashimi with a little striped tuna to start with. A few smallish Mack-tuna followed before Fraser's day took a turn for the worse. Once at the spot he managed to find a few fish, it was just the catching that proved difficult. First a few follows and missed hookups. Well everyone has bad luck. Next a couple of solid hookups followed by bustoffs. Ouch. Even more upsetting was the cause, apparent knot dodgyness. Back to knot-tying school with you Fraser!
My side of the boat was much nicer. Firstly I managed to subdue a solid critter on my home-made stick-bait (which made a mess of the paintwork unfortunately).
Then changed to a Carpenter and got a couple more.
Was a pretty slow day overall, with quite a few casts between fish. The current was surprisingly hard to find (considering the big tides) which added to the difficulties.
Anyway, a few pics

thanks Pete, yeah was very happy to get a fish so soon on the home-made job. Gotta work on that finish though!
