Title: Thanks Fishead
Post by: jay currie on June 13, 2009, 05:30:59 PM
Just thought I would take time to thank the boys at fishead. Myself and three mates are going on a Nomad trip in two weeks so went in to see the boys at Fishhead to look at poppers, rods and reels, we spent a total of 12hrs with the boys over two saturdays testing poppers and rods and the service and advice we receved was second to none.

So Thanks Duncan, Aaron and Gordon for all your time. ;D

Dear Jay,

Thanks very much,  we really enjoyed having you guys around and it was great to get out of the shop and go cast some rods and poppers.  We are looking forward to hearing how the trip goes.

Cheers,

Duncan

Hi Jay,

Thanks for the kind words!
It was a blast helping out.
Nothing like helping out a group of like minded GT addicts  ;D

Have fun & I look forward to seeing some epic pics from the trip!

Cheers

Aaron.

Jay,
My two year old has exactly the same set up as your son! Though the tip is now permanently bent and the reel handle has broken on something he tightened into but never landed ;)The braid ;D it came with seems ok though :o He too has not had much success on the GT's yet, but he is already very keen and as often as he can, has a play with my rods when I'm not looking!
On another note, its great to know that such good service is there with Fish Head. I too will be making the trip out to visit the guys at Fishead on my way to Nomad, as I will be stopping in Brisbane for a few days on the way up. It would be great to meet some of you guys while I'm there if you live in the locality and are free.

My son might not be playing with fishing gear yet (even though he is 2 1/2, Thomas is more his thing) but all his wiggles, bob the builder etc DVD's have been put aside & he now like to watch Legend 5, my Carpenter GT fishing DVD's & Fisherman GT fishing DVD's, will not touch any other fishing DVD's, just GT's.

SHIT this could be expensive later in life.

Yeah I know what you mean Brock it will be double the gear double the charter cost and double the flights. I think I will have to start a Gt fund instead of a colledge fund :)
