awesome
something different, did stick baits or poppers do most of the damage??
-
Awesome pics...those red fish, they look a lot more like monster Jacks than Red Bass - they have to Red Bass though don't they? :o
Also what sort of trevally are they?
Awesome Rooster Fish, got to get me one of those some day!

The Lutjanid is a Cubera Snapper.
The Trevally is a Jack Crevalle.
I believe most were taken on poppers.
-
some nice one's there.
a good Rooster fish.
-
I did get an email from David at LPB saying he did get some jacks on poppers, but holy crap, I had no idea. Here I was thinking they were only small stuff....
I hate him even more :o
Cheers

Luke,
David told me that they were going to Panama the week after I left after a trip with them at noumea. Said they would use the big poppers like I cups and Fisherman Hp tail. The big poppers seem to have worked well. This is quite against the grain of the usual medium sized stick baits, raiders and small poppers used there.
cheers,
Jeen

Yeah I thought it looked similar to a Maori Seaperch, markings just didn't seem right though.

That Hammerhead lure that is hanging out of the Rooster fish has taken some beating, nice to see.
