Title: Another quick local trip
Post by: Graham Scott on July 06, 2009, 09:37:19 AM
Headed north with a group of guys I owed a favour to last Friday. weather was South west about 15 to 20 knots so stuck in close to the coast. After getting a box full of reef fish I suggested a bit of GT popping to round out the day as we headed home. Fishing was excellent. 1 GT at first spot within about 5 mins, then left (one day I will have a second cast). 1 GT in 5 mins at second spot (then left), no GT 3rd spot, no run. 1 GT 4th spot in 5 mins then left, no GT last spot , only heaps of big queenies, then headed home.

Awesome day, seemed to be GT's everywhere.

I haven't got any photos yet, but 1 of the guys on the trip has posted a video at Ausfish.com.au, "reports offshore" "Keppel bay Escapes charter". You might need to be a memeber to see the video. I will figure out a link somehow.
The country north of Yeppoon is now closed for a month for military exercises, but I can't wait to get back in August.
