Can I ask who on here owns one and their thoughts.
I have just purchased one for stickbaits and chuggers around 120-130g.
I did a search prior to purchase and it seems to get positve comments all round for this purpose so I suppose I have answered my own question....BUT it would be good to hear from people who own one..
Thanks,
Pete

Jon will be onto this like a seagull on a chip ;D
Great rods the carpenter SPs, yours should be good for what you're after.

Ask Brock or Malcolm Crane for their opinion , they both have had this rod for awhile now and both have been used many times in different locations .

Thanks Jon,
I saw Brandon give the rod a good wrap in one of his Bugatti reports.

Peter,
It's a carpenter, from the LGM family and SP sub-family......
So I'd say you have bought wrong.....
But if you want I can help you re-coup part of your loss.
It will also look nice on my Carps rack to the left of my 78H, 78EXH, CV79-40, LR88 and HLTN87 ;) ;) :D

I'll take the CV79-40 Andy to give you some room (http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd207/bunzo51/Smileys/thumbsup.gif)

Jon,
It makes me sick to say it, but I'm having trouble justifying it.
Now, if I see you slaying some cow YFT on it this weekend then I may make a miraculous recovery.
Greg, sorry mate, but i don't think viper will be changing address in the short term.

Hi Andy ,
There will be so many Carpenter rods onboard , I think we should call ourself Carpenter tuna rod field testers ?
SP80M will be used in the next trip in November / December GT fishing trip , then we will see all SP series onboard .
