Ok....As some on here know I recently purchased a Carpenter SP80M through PLAT.
The nightmare situation has now unfolded of it 'going missing' through Fed Ex.
The story is that the package has somehow had two tracking numbers associated with it...??
How this happened I dont know...?
FED EX have told me that someone in SYDNEY had an order delivered around 10th September 2009 (from PLAT also) and that the rod may have been linked to this tracking number and package.
There is a possibility that someone in Sydney has received my rod. ???
FED EX are trying to contact this person but have had no luck as yet.
If this has happened and the person is a member on here can I please ask you to PM me asap....or call me on 0419223307.
Naturally,I have my fingers crossed it will sought out but any assistance from anyone here would be great.
Thanks,
Pete

Doesn't sound like a good situation :-\ Hope it's sorted out as soon as possible. Good luck with it.
-
Real bummer there Pete as the rod is very nice to use, hope all works out well.
-
Insured freight ?
Lodge a claim form with FedEx.
-
Yeah Steve...It will be covered.
The latest news from PLAT is that 3 rods were sent the same day.
2 meant for Queensland and 1 meant for someone in New South Wales.
Both the rods meant for Queensland are missing... ???

Hi Pete,
I know what it's like having problems with delivery of rods......my first GT Special turned up at the post office in a PVC tube that had been run over (by an Australia Post delivery truck, I'm assuming). Consequently, the tip section of the brand new rod was shattered in half. :'( Got the money back on insurance, but it took about 4 months and lots of phone calls.
So that's brilliant you have got the result you were looking for. Now go and get the rod stretched on some serious GTs man!
Cheers
Angus
