After my dear wife had organised a weeks holiday in Townsville, the time finally arrived to leave. Knowing this was the case, I called good mate Rob Laspina to see if he had a few days free to go for a fish.
After taking the week off,Rob organised, Pete and Danny from Tackle World Townsville to join in the long trek to the reef in search of GT's.
we ended up doing very well with GT's from all angles on both poppers and stickbaits. The 140s Yo-Zuri slider turned out to be a good stick baits doing some nice work on Shark Mackerel which were in plague proportions.
Still the GT action was hot seeing myself busting an SJ-41 11/0.
Long Tail on stock baits and soft plastics were also good fun.
A big Thank you to Rob, Pete and Danny for an enjoyable day on the water.
