G'day folks
I just removed 3yr old 40lb nitlon braid from this spool. Happy to say there is no corrosion or pitting under the old line
I am looking at running either 40 or 65lb JB solid or Tuffline XP, does anyone know what kind of capacity will I get with any of these lines. I prefer the heaviest I can fit on with at least 250m of capacity

I had 50lb daiwa sensor braid on my catalina, and that line is fairly thick. Didnt take the full 300m from the spool from memory. So it should be between 250-300 at most.

You'll get a full 300m of varivas avani big one or avani tuna on it.

That's PE4 .... Nearly forgot to mention

Thank you. I had a 300y spool of 30lb fireline pink on hand so tested it albrighted to 100lb black magic leader at exactly 20kg and it broke at the knot so that seems ample reserve strength. The fireline box says .36mm and the spool spec is .365 -300y. Looks like I got about 250y on
