Looking at purchasing a new popping rod.  Have had a cast of a few and have decided on the Seven Seas: BBP77 Ultra.  Easy to cast and so easy to bloop the bigger poppers, a rod that I will be able to cast all day long.  Apart from loving the standard rod Duncan has let me know you can customise your thread colours etc, so just after a few ideas on how to make it stand out a bit.  Any photos would be great, I won't copy anyones exactly as I want it to be individual but any ideas would be great.

Check out websites like fisherman, carpenter, ripple etc they've all got pics of custom bindings, butt wraps, handpainted pictures etc

Sevenseas and Fisherman do some neat detail work. Must say though my Wild Violence in nothing but Darth Vader black gets the message through. Each to his own.

Interesting, can't wait to see how it looks. What's the wait on the custom Sevenseas?

Love a rod that really stands out.

Yah can't wait to get it, should really stand out.  Should be two months or just over, but you can wait that long for a standard sevenseas rod so it is not to bad.  Won't catch any extra fish but it will stand out doing it.

What gave you the idea on the blue fisherman? Did you see one that you liked? And how do you find it?

I actually wanted a darker blue, but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I saw one that I like on the fisherman website so that's where I got the idea from. Took me ages to make up my mind, I originally was going to get white blank with red thread like your custom UHL. I also got the R10 09 grip which is pretty sweet as well.
