Title: More brissie Gee's...
Post by: Geoff Volter on December 23, 2009, 03:58:14 PM
I hit the cape recently with a couple of mates. It was a great day on the water.

Got this GT, bloody heavy and plenty of condition. 3rd cast on a school of fusiliers, near a rock patch. Didn't get a girth measure, but he went 125.

It ate a fullscale kong 200. Actually ate is an understatement, it murdered it. Gotta love the hit from a GT.

My mate is playing with the camera and wanted to try some new angles. I like them, what do you guys think? We wanted him to revive and get backing to killing fusiliers, there are too many of them... ;D

The day was too good weatherwise, and we could see a storm brewing and headed home.

Nice GT! The Brisbanites will be drooling over this  ;D Love the pics of the cape. Was that 125cm total length?

Hi Jay, my casting deck is 120cm long and there was a bit hanging over so we said 125 to be safe.  I was too stuffed and buzzing to care too much ;D

Hey Voltzy!

Looks like you've pushed the size limit up on poor ole Hambone!

Terrific fish mate. He's in top nick!

I gotta say though, it seems you & Tony are more conflicted than ever...Sage caps & stickers/Minn Kota lekky/orange reef fishing gloves.....looks like popping is more than just a side kick for you pair now!

Crap........I hear Darcy crying again.....night duty calls!

Aaron.

Thanks mate, Poor old Hambone could hardly lift it into the boat.  Next mission is a big one on fly...... but only after we've had our fill on poppers. If that ever happens ;D

Funny thing about the gloves, I never got round to buying a pair and had been borrowing mates gloves on trips. But this trip I forgot to line up a pair so took out the reefo gloves and a pair of leather gardening gloves :P The gardening gloves would have looked horrid in the pics. ;D

How is darcy and fatherhood mate?

Voltz

Great fish Voltz, caught in the backyard too  :D

Don't worry about the non matching gloves and hat etc, at least you are using the right lures  ;D ;D
