Hey Guys.
Just trying to find a rod suitable for switchbaiting to sails, will be matched with a 4000 certate and 23lb line. want to get as close to 7ft as possible. 2 piece if possible. shortlisted it to these rods soo far.
TCurve Saltwater Spin 5-10kg
Smith KGS 68M
Daiwa Cataline Nabura 67
Custom calstar 700xl
Custom samurai premium 502 (same blank as reaction rods)
Any opinions on any of these rods would be great.
Cheers guys

you forgot one more......
Daiwa Saltiga Dorado 70S......it'll fish 10 kg easily.

Yamaga Blue Sniper

Carpenter BC75MHS , if you can find one . This is my favourite Rompin rod for popping the sailfish which are 20~30 kg .

hi kurt..
i'm using KGS70MH for my light popping rod, just good for cast 60-80g popper.
but if you can find & spend more, go for BC75MHS or BC80MRF
cheers

I have the dorado 70S, nice rod - I also have the SG GAME 68S-3, matched to a 3500 Certate, I would think that rod should be in the mix too!

Thanks for all the info guys (though my shortlist is getting bigger instead of smaller...haha)
iv already got a saltiga 80s so really wanna get some thing around 7ft and a bit stiffer than the 70.
also my budget is about 650 which i assume rules out the carpenters..
are any of the shortlisted rods in the ball park??
cheers

hi kurt .
why not you look into to smith KGS74H
as it would be stiffer than the KGS70MH ?? ;)
-
ah sorry i meant 70 as in Daiwa Saltiga Dorado 70S, the kgs 70mh is way stiffer than i was looking for.

You could try a Yamga Blue Sniper 75/4 or 70/4, both rods should fit into your buget.

I'm very happy with my Yamaga 75/4, it's a great rod. Many people suggested heavier GT weapon alternatives but this fits the bill perfectly.
Cheers David

How about a Hots Gipang Tide Lez 72m.

Hots Gipang Tide Lez 67H and Smith KGS 70JP for my popping sails. Cheers!

I know it's only a one piece, but check out the GLoomis Pro Blue 843s it's a cracker!
