Hi Paul,
Nice work, looks like you guys were testing all your jigging rods ;). How do the MC works rods go? and good to see the smiths never get old.
Did you find any jig type/colour a standout?
Do the local tuna regulation allow only 1 fish per boat?
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy,
The MC Works rods are sweet!
Easy on the jigs and a beast in handling large fish.
The silver / holograph/ reflective type worked best.
The darker coloured ones were getting hits too.
Yup only one fish allowed per boat.
Cheers,
Paul.

Some nice bendy action in those rods mate, keep the reports coming..
-
Some very good action there.
Out of interest Paul, what is the weight of jigs you use in these waters?
-
Cam and Nathan,
Thanks guys, we do tuna trips almost every week and will put in more reports and with different types of gear and method in targeting Atlantic blue fins.
Mark,
We were using jigs from 200g - 300g the heavier jigs were used when the current gets strong.
The fishes were mainly at the bottom from 180ft up to 70ft
Cheers,
Paul.
