A Noosa River GT from just on Dusk tonight.
Went like hell on 6lb braid and with the big tides we have currently he got in the current and really tore some line.

Nice work Peter :D I bet he put on a turn!
Not as impressive as yours but here's one I got on light gear.... well not as light as 6lb, I was using SP and 20lb and pulled him up from 40m. Not sure on the type of trev but i have only caught them in this 1 particular spot....

Good stuff on the light gear. That really sorts the men from the boys.

Pete, great stuff on the light gear....what are those little poppers you are using? Look the goods for flicking around the mangrove fringes on an incoming tide?
Cheers

Mick, it is hardly gracious to congratulate someone on one hand and then tell them that you out-do them on the next sentence!! ::)
Still, perhaps you might convince Peter to take you out so you can show him how it is done.

Brandon ,
i am not trying to outdo him . as i,m just saying i know the feeling how hard they fight on light gear .
I was hunting the Dog Bream (mangrove jack) been hunting them for a while .
that is why i end up with a big eye trevelly and silver trevelly
i believe the 4lb and 6lb might be different depending on the diameter as i notice all the brand braid has different diameter to each other
for eg. 4lb diameter 0.12 , 6lb diameter at 0.104 that is big different to each other .
i hope you understand that .
I do want to meet peter one day .
Mick .

Mick I had 6lb leader....That was a little worrying as i thought it could rub on the tail.
6lb leader would be ok on a Maori wrasse though.....50/50 chance I reckon. ;D
