Title: SOM L120 High/Lo
Post by: Sam Colvin on October 07, 2010, 07:44:43 PM
HI Guys,

I am after the above reel for heavy jigging. Any recommendations on where to purchase one from?

Is the Lo version too slow, and visa versa for the high speed, is that too fast? Which model would you go?

I am aware Saltywater has them, but just seeing who else might have them?

Cheers,
Sam

Eastern Tackle used to carry them, but also Sabre Strokers (http://www.sabrestrokers.com/) in Singapore stock them IIRC.

Thanks Jamie.

Yeh not sure about the lo. A mate has the L120Hi and seems to be fine working jigs up to 500g efficiently.

Just want to see if some-one has fished with the Lo, and how they find it?

Lo model retrieves only 80cm per turn and I think it is a bit too slow for the action I generally need. I guess it depends on the depth you will fish and it will give you torque benefit for the deep area like 150m or deeper.
