Hi Guys

Stumbled across this combo:
Tuff Tackle Diablo Snipper 8000 Reel
20kg Carbon & Stainless Drag System
Aluminium Body - Rotor - Sideplate
Stainless Steel & Bronze Gears
One Way Clutch + Back Up Anti-Reverse
10 Stainless Steel Bearings
10 Year Warranty
****PLUS****
Diablo Sniper LBG/POP Rod
IM8 Carbon Graphite
High Density Fighting Grips
Fuji Alconite Guides
Fuji Reel Seat
Aluminium Trimming & Gimble
2 Piece - (jions in top grip)
Length - 7ft.7
Line - PE 8

Total is $499 which sounds very cheap- Anyone got any comments on this combo?

Daniel, Tuff Tackle reels have been the subject of a debate on this forum before. Do a search.

Let me make one thing clear up front seeing this topic has come up again. Anyone who joins this forum with the primary intention of spruiking the product and/or making ridiculous, outrageous and unsubstantiated claims (ala Jeff Eldrin) will face a zero tolerance policy.

I just spent the past hour reading that thread and some of the links in it (it's still rough here!!).

That's up there as one of the most entertaining threads ever!!

Great job too mods (Luke and Brandon), well handled.

C'mon Dan you know you want a Stella 10000, just tell the missus you blew it at the Casino!!

Mark, I didn't find that episode entertaining at all! By and large, we have a great group of members here. We don't get the nonsense you find in some other forums and the main reason for that is the membership we have. Unfortunately, that episode forced us to react accordingly.

Thankfully, since that time, the only occasion we have had to intervene was in the case of an imbecile who couldn't tell the difference between a fishing website and a pornographic website.

I apologise for starting this thread (being of the young and lazy variety I should have did a search on this topic- lesson learned). Mods please feel free to remove

No apology required or necessary, Daniel.
We do not have any kind of a ban on the genuine discussion of Tuff Tackle equipment. What we object to and find unacceptable are people who write unsubstantiated rubbish which is posted with the primary intention of promoting a product.
