Title: Varivas Avani Casting PE SMP vs. Sunline Cast Away Monster Battle PE
Post by: Damir Ruk on January 31, 2011, 01:57:59 PM
Hi all at GT Popping. Great place to learn stuff for us newbies at this forum. I have narrowed down to these two lines to put on my SOM 16000 No Limits spool with PE#8 for mainly casting and some jigging. Do these lines have any markers, if so how frequent? Any information is good.

Varivas Avani SMP has a colour mark every 25 metres. No idea on the Sunline.

As well as SMP, I would urge you to look at Varivas Avani GT Max. Several GT anglers I  know choose this ahead of the more expensive SMP.

Thanks Mark. I did a little research on the Sunline Monster Battle and found that it is coloured black for 2m every 48m. The line is a sky blue colour and is an 8 strand. The line looks good just want to know if anyone is using it. The Varivas Casting PE SMP is different to the GT MAX or GT SMP. Maybe its the lack of a coloured marker every 25m or so that makes it the 'Casting PE' instead of the 'GT' versions. The casting PE is slightly cheaper too than the GT MAX but same price as Sunline MB. ;D

Oh. I was clearly confused. That would certainly not be the first time  ;).
