Title: Moreton Bay magic - again
Post by: Peter Lowe on February 20, 2011, 10:45:49 AM
Hi All,

-Weather gods were kind again yesterday so we made the early run up to my favourite GT location to see if we can raise one in the great GT conditions that were present - second cast and splash - man I love this place.... we then went off and picked up a few little dollies off my fad for dinner and were drinking a cappacino at Amity for 9.30am -home by 10.30 - good times...

Great work there Peter! I've been led to believe the Moreton Bay area is normally somewhat less obliging in terms of bites, so to nail one on the 2nd cast, well that's gold.

Cheers
Angus

Hey Crazy,

I was kinda thinking that someone had to be out there over this set of tides!

Big tidal run, great weather........pity I burnt up my 'brownie points' last weekend when we were all out there.  :'(

Nice GT mate.  Congrats. ;D

Better than my effort last Saturday.  I kinda rearranged Kenji Konishi's ideas of a 'new concept' Fuji by wrapping PE 7 around it while pegging a 160 Gamma.......the 3rd guide is a new, new concept, bent-out-of-whack new type that I hope doesn't take off  :o
Thankfully I know great rod builder!!!!!!!!!!!

Again,well done,

Aaron.

Yer that's a bummer Aaron- good to hear it's sorted. Mate the conditions were very good indeed - GTs were there to play, those tide bring out the best of them, and man can they give you some in 40 mtr with that run. To good to miss - shame my buddies were a little bit tired and emotional otherwise I would have played a bit longer.

Thanks Angus & Andy

For someone who is Brisbane based, this certainly gives me a warm and fuzzy that I can at least get out and chance my hand at these fellows locally!

As a newbie, I wasn't aware that they have haunts around here that can be a viable place to target.
