Just a question on how the handle fits onto the saltiga game 3500. Does the handle have a shaft that slides through the gearbox to a tensioner on the other side or is it threaded like the bigger saltigas? just haven't been able to find one to play with. Do the new cerates have a thru handle or a threaded one?
thanks

i am not 100 per cent sure, i think on the body of the reel it's self the saltiga game 3500 is a thread and the handle just screws on, but i maybe wrong.
as to weather or not a Certate handle would fit onto the game (which i think is what you are asking), i would not know but it would be a guess that maybe it will or would/maybe it won't.
between the 2 i would go for one of the Certate's myself.

My Certate 3500HD handle screws on the same as the Saltiga, Exist and Steez.

Sam,
I'm sure they both have handles that screw on.
certate vs saltiga- i was trying to decide whether to buy a hypercustom certate 4000PE or a saltiga game a while back. i reckon the saltiga is the slightly better option but i ended up buying the certate because i got offered a deal that i couldn't refuse and am more than happy with it.

thanks guys. I basically just wanted to know if both reels had the same gearbox design. I just hadn't been able to find a game 3500 or the new certate in a shop to check. I'm still struggling to work out what the point of difference is between the bigger certates and the game.

There must be schematics on a Daiwa website somewhere.
I seem to remember downloading a PDF of the Saltiga 6500 schematics from the Daiwa US site for example.

The schematics should be here
