Hi Guys,
Quick report, fished Kadavu with 3 mates last week for a few days. We had fantastic weather and though it was hard work we managed a few nice fish and broke in a few GT virgins. We popped for 3 days and spent a day chasing marlin. Though no marlin were to be found but we managed to raise a sail and saw a few bust ups from YFT, some of which we landed on skirts, but unfortunately we didn't manage to land any casting. We managed a few reefies jigging as well, though we were a bit on under-gunned what with only bringing PE4 jig outfits with us. This resulted in us being monstered by some beasts of the deep. If I was to go back a PE8 jigging outfit would be a must on my packing list. Interestingly the most successful popper which accounted for about 5 or 6 fish was also the cheapest onboard a Kronik big boppa 150 which was going to be left at home. Baby runbohs were popular too, although 1 fish and they were pretty much useless.
