Canberra (Aus) must be over 3000km from the nearest GT fishing location, but like Mulga Bill and his bike, I've caught the popping craze; so on a recent work trip overseas, I was fortunate enough to stop off in Dubai, and with some local friends, got a day and a half in the Musandam. Very apprehensive about being totally undergunned in the tackle department (time and budget prevented a proper "armoury"), but while blown away a number of times, we still managed some good fish. Very chuffed to bag my 1st GT! Fantastic destination, great company, great trip.....I will be back!
