Hi guys,
i noticed that most anglers here are using braids like JB, Tufline XP , varivas, ygk... what are your opinions on other less popular braid like izorline , powerpro, sufix 832, berkley whiplash crystal. Opinions on other brand of lines not listed here are also welcomed.
Looking forward to hear from the popping gurus.

I got some sufix 832 in 30lb to try, it's pretty good I think.
Not as silky smooth as varivas or ygk, but seems to be stronger, I have to force it a bit when cutting the line with braid scissors.
For a bit over US$40 for a 300m spool you can't complain

i have izorline 80lbs on my dogfight and have no complaints.
nice line ;)

I just spooled an 8000 Stella with 50lb powerpro. Spent a bit of time spinning with it and so far so good, I normally use tufline but couldn't get it when I needed it and opted for the powerpro.

i am looking at the heavier poundage of the sufix 832? anyone use them for popping?
Between powerpro and izorline which is better in terms of casting , abrasion resistance , etc ?

I run 65lb of 832 onto my STL10K and loop to loop outside my reel using 200lb JB before splicing in a 6ft 170lb of leader for my 8ft rod.
This connection aim for notless to aid in my casting while triggering on 200lb JB allow me to punch hard.
The only question I have on this is whether the GT will be spooked by such a short leader potentially reduce hook up rate... No so much on popper but rather on stickbait.
