There are a few devices like this on the market.

I saw some people having some problem with theirs in Exmouth. It was on a brand-new boat. It wouldn't latch out for some reason, so it wouldn't grab the boat on the retrieve. We ended up putting their safety chain on, just so they could clear the ramp.
