Ok so I've just received my GPA knob in L (42mm) for my Stella 5000SW and it didn't come with any instructions... ok, so I thought it would just be a straight swap with the old one, simple enough... except for the fact that the existing bearings don't seem to fit the recess on the GPA knob?? Dunno if it's something stupid that I'm not considering or maybe I've just had too many beers ???

Glad to hear that I am not the only one with problems, Michael. I have sent an email to the store that sold it to try to find out any info.
Looks like I might need to buy another one for my 5000SW :-\ No timee before my next trip though, I fly out tomorrow!

Jay I had the same problem with another aftermarket knob that didn't fit the reel it was meant to "go straight onto". I went to Statewide Bearings with the handle and knob and walked out $20 later with the right fitting bearings. It did put me off aftermarket stuff though, especially when something you buy to fit doesn't.

Doesn't put me off aftermarket stuff, just this brand!
Think I might stick to knobs that I know will 'go straight onto'... haven't had problems with Fisherman and Yumeya.
