Hi,
i'm writing from Italy.
i like fishing GT with light tackle and i have just bought Smith Rod GTK 77 SJH for stickbait.
Smith Company writes that the maximum stickbait you can cast is about 110 gr.
Someone has fished with this rod and which is the maximum stickbait lure the rod can cast ?
Is possible till 110 gr. or is better a little under 100 gr. about 80/90 gr. considering also how the lures must work ?

I have that rod and have used it stick baiting for kingies in NZ. It works very well with 65 to 100 gram stick baits. I have fished Baby runbohs to 105 gammas although they are a bit too much for the rod.
Good Luck

Thank you Robert,
someone has fished with Big Foot 100gr. Orionlures ?
What's about the rod action ? the lure is too heavy ?
