Gday all, quick report. Took the rellies out for a day on the water, threw a GT rod in. Good day out, soaked some baits - caught 3 remoras in 3.5m of water over sandy bottom - wtf? I can only assume there was a 5m tiger shark sitting under the boat also ;) Current had picked up so threw some poppers quickly. Raised them at 4 spots, landed 2. Got the first one myself then the next one had 3 climbing all over it, hooked up then handed the rod off to my cousins BF for his first GT. Nice day out :)

Good to see they are about here in more numbers. All the good spots are holding fish I hear.

Hey Travis,
Mate the remoras i cauught at the Keppels were just like you described about 3.5m of water on a sandy bottom. Pretty strange hey.

Nice work Travis,
You lost your razor blade lately?
Looks like the only guy not holding up GT's from the weekend was Warwick, wimped out on me (must have seen my tinnie). I could have done with an extra pair of hands. Not fit enough gave up at 9:00am stuffed. Big boat will be going next week, so I bet I get some starters then.
We better not keep telling Chris Webster about GT's in CQ (only remoras Chris...just remoras)
My photos are getting worse you can also see the plastic bag I keep the iphone in. Still haven't figured out how to take a decent picture by myself

Yes and now I'm regretting that decision :( was a poor choice on my behalf.
After 9 hours in a car on sat I didn't have the motivation to do anything Sunday.

Yeah your right Warwick, Fishing's not a matter of life and death.....It's much more important than that!!!
At your age I remember one trip.... I had to play hockey on saturday afternoon, then race down to the boat travel 50 miles up the coast , fished all night then all the next day, ate a packet of biscuits and ten beers, got home about 6 pm filleted fish till midnight, then had a camp and got up at 6 to go to work...only then realised I still had my hockey socks and shin guards on.
I gave up hockey when I turned 50.
