Title: Quick morning trip
Post by: Zac Chilvers on November 22, 2011, 08:39:00 PM
Well the weather was looking like predicted, a morning glassout with the wind meant to pickup by lunchtime so I decided to go out for a quick fish. The tides were neaps so wasn't sure if the fish would be on the chew.

I headed out to a spot that always seems to be holding schools of fusiliers to see if there was any schools about. There was a few schools around and they were busting up on the surface, so threw out the new craftbait GT2 to see what was around. On the 3rd cast a Spaniard got airborn but didn't stick so cast out again and hooked into some small bludgers that attracted a few small whalers.
I moved to a new school and threw out the lure again and hooked up solid to what looked and felt like a nice size GT, managed to get it in with out the sharks making appearance so was happy. By 10am the wind was coming up so headed back in.

Not the best photo but was a a bit hard using a 10sec timer on the camera.
