Title: Straightening kinks in leaders
Post by: Andrew Susani on January 07, 2012, 05:18:04 PM
Hi all,

I couldn't find anything in the archives so I thought I would ask a pretty obvious question...

I know it doesn't matter too much because of the lure size, but has anyone got any good methods for removing kinks in leader material?

I roll mine up and secure it with a garbage tie, then loop it around the reel handle, to avoid bending it through the rod tip when storing the rod or travelling on the water.  But kinks annoy me in any leader (light or heavy) so it would be good to know if there is a way to remove them.

Thanks,

Andrew

Try stretching the leader while pulling it hard through a piece of rubber - like a piece of bike tube.
