hey guys i am off to samurez in the end of may on a charter of which my friend owns. it will be mainly chasing reefies but i will have the gt gear on board. wanting to know if anyone has been there fishing for them or knows of anyone just to give me a heads up on the area and local gt population.

the boat is called "lunar sea" skippered by bruce kingston. he mainly does extended trips to the fitzroy region and has the lighthouse lease on curtis island. great accomodation up there with 2 houses and 2 honeymoon sort of rooms overlooking a cliff to the ocean.

HI Matt,
Sorry about the late post mate. WAs talking to a mate and he said hes been out to Samurez a couple of times and they have come across GTs around the mid 20 kgs on the troll so they are there. He also said that the sharks out there are like no other and if you do get onto the Gts you will have to haul ass and get em in quick before the sharks.
