Title: The best fighting belt and where to buy it ?
Post by: Simon Steele on January 23, 2012, 06:23:23 PM
Guys , is there a stand out fighting belt in your opinions ? Like most things I'm sure there are choices and options a plenty , but I know there will be one or two that lead the pack , I'm 6'3" and 100kg  so like most tall blokes the lower back is the weak spot , I've been fighting them with a Shimano job from Tackleworld but I'm keen to upgrade now. Thanks in advance for your advice.
Simon.

Hey Simon,
I use the m & w jigging belt with the back support and it's awesome. Very light and comfortable, I wear it 8-10 hours a day no worries. Also has lots of adjustments on it so you can set it to what suits your style.  Contact gps

M&W jig belt all the way, it's so light you forget you are wearing it!

I'm 6'5" and 125kg and I cannot recommend it enough. I think Gara Pro Shop has them in stock. Maybe shoot Luke a PM?

mate, myself and many others on this forum have been fishing with the Seven Sea's 3-pin fighting gimble for quite some years now.
tough as nails, comfortable and most importantly, large surface area; resulting in great pressure distribution.......around the crutch region.
*the 3 pins/rod butt location holes have good advantages if your keen on popping from the hip/gimble....feels more natural and allows you to pop without having to stand flat footed.

they come in a range of colours and im pretty sure that the boys at Fishhead (Site Sponsor) might have some floating around.........

I vote for the Sevenseas belt as well. Love it, even if it could be a bit less bulky.  As Kurt says, the 3 cup set up is very flexible.

Does anyone know when these will be available and how much.  I cannot find them for sale anywhere.

Matched with a Fisherman Spinning Harness would be very good for an old back like mine!

Knowing the PD's approach, this might be very good fighting belt:

Mark, site sponser Fish Head will be the first Australian store to have these later next month.
