Hi
could anyone share experience/review on the hots 77XH? Not much info available and whatever's there doen't say much apart from recommending pencil/stickbait lures being best suited for the rod.
Intended target is 30kg+ GT using halco, dumbell poppers,yo zuri pencil and the odd stickbait. line wil be 80lb test.
cheers
David

Check out Ocean Active / Nick Bowles Southern Oman reports of late, they hosted the Hots rod tester and were very impressed - handled fish over 50kg. I have the Hots 83 - great rod for the price!

Hi David,
My clients from Russia fished with us for Bluefin tuna in North Carolina with the 77XH and to say the least i was fascinated with the power of the rod,
they landed an 84 inch fish, estimated over 300lb.
the following is some bendo pictures for the rod:

And the result:

there is a lot options nowadays but that is a good choice, the rod performed flawlessly.
Good luck :)
