Just arrived in time for Oman in 2 weeks time ;D ;D ;D
-
Beautiful! Custom from Carpenter or did you get someone local to do up their blanks?
-
Lovely looking jobs from Carpenter Andy. I look forward to having a swing with one or the other! 8)
-
Thanks men,
Andrew, my first custom order definitely from Carpenter, I went for a simple plan and they look better than expected.
Mark, absolutely, I hope to see you connect to something BIG.

Great looking rods there Andy, good luck in Oman... get them warmed up for me in late October 8)
-
Congratulations, fantastic looking rods.
I'm considering getting them to do a custom Black Current PE 2-3 (with cork butt of course!).
I'll be fishing Southern Oman with Nick at the same time and I know that two of us on the boat (if not three of us) will be using Monster Hunters. Would make a great ad for Carpenter.
Regards,
Trevor

Jay, thanks mate, one beast per day for me and then I'll put my feet up and watch the boys exercise the rest for you 8).
Thanks Trevor, they are expensive but worth the long wait to have something a little unique, lucky it was an off season order for me which came in time for GT season. I'll only be carrying 4 Carps on this trip ;).

That 83/32 should be perfect for dragging nemo out of his anemone!
-
Christofer, there has been discussions here about blurring the use of target specific carpenter rods on non target species, the use of BLC rods on GT's comes to mind. I don't think Konishi San will be too sympatheic on replacement or repair issues if I happen to damage this rod on a fish that it is so obviously not designed for! :P

Sorry Andy, that was meant to be a joke.

Same here Christoffer I was talking tongue in cheek in the context of Nemo's, I'd just hate to damage my rod on an angry nemo and try to explain this to the makers :D :D
Sorry Andy, that was meant to be a joke.
