Is there a spin rod harness and where can you get one?
-
Fisherman make a very expensive harness that is supposed to be good but I'm not convinced that they are that practical.

Brandon ,
Don't put the harness holding the stem of the reel for it will break the reel , just ask Chris n Malcolm what happened to Pat's Saltiga in Sumba/Komodo trip in 2006 .
The harness should hold the rod at the foregrip but easily removed when the fish makes a sudden movement that will need you to remove the butt from the gimbal , this close contact fishing is quite different in schenario than fishing deepwater species where boat can move freely , in rock strewn areas , sometimes boat can't move freely to compensate the surgings of the fish .
