Has anyone used these? The 5/0 to 7/0 look suitable for GTs.

I just bought some from Ocean Active yest, the 7/0's... they been using the 5/0 is musandam and havent had a problem so far... i thought they look a touch skinny... but are very very sharp!!

Are the 5/0 shouts comparable to a 5/0 owner in size?

i didn't weigh yet - but think they are about the same as ST 66 5/0.....

Hi Ben, I got sent a few samples and then ordered a bunch into the shop to try. They are fairly light and I think they will pen under high drag but they should be in the same range as the Vanfook hooks. They are similar shape and design to the Decoys with an inverted point whish is sharp and will also protect the lure to some extent.
We have tried the hooks in the Musandam as the fish are generally smaller than Southern Oman and last week got a 38kg GT on the 5/0 Shout so they do work but will test a few next week in Southern Oman and see if they open and report back.
They are about the same size as the Owner 5/0 for 5/0 but lighter and thinner gauge.
Hope this helps a bit.
Cheers,
Nick
