Hi,
I managed to get my hands on a "as new" Saltiga Z40 and this means I will need to buy a rod to match :)
I am planning to use 40 or 50lbs line (PE4-5 I suppose) and jigs up to 200 grams, preferably a rod that is available in Europe as well (saves the import duties).
Budgetwise I am looking for a good rod but not willing to spend 500 AU$, around the 300-400 mark will do.
Serge.

60B Saltiga is a fave of mine And will compliment that reel selection nicely. Jigging Master also have a range of good PE43/4 rods that may be worth investigating

Thanks,
I have been looking at the Jigging Master Powerspell 200 but I have not been able to find it in a European webshop.
Will check out the Daiwa saltiga rod.

I guess in that price range the Black Hole 250 Cape Cod Special might fit. It's a very strong rod and the factory built version might just sneak under your budget.

Cheers Mark,
will look into it, have not heard about Black Hole before...

Check the jignpop section on this site. There is a thread on them there. They are a very strong rod!
