Found some well priced(about $2.50ea) hooks today that i thought looked good for use on a baker rig. just wondering if anyone has used them for this or even a tail hook? I am not talking about the live bait HD circle as this would obivously note be appropriate but just thought they looked the goods.

Those look like they would work. What is the distance in the gap between the point and the back?

do you know what the gape on an owner sj-41 11/0 is?

I use this hook in 12/0. Fantastic hook, only down side is they must be INOX'ed ASAP after rinsing in Fresh water as they do rust.

Looks good for the purpose to me. The 12/0 probably better than the 11/0.
The gape on two hooks I have used for Bakers is: SJ41 13/0- - 270 mm, Jigging Master 13/0 - also 270 mm.
The JM is the most corrosion resistant large jigging hook I have used but the angled back eye makes it slightly annoying for Baker purposes. SJ41s or anything with Owner gold finish is absolute rubbish from the corrosion viewpoint.

I was considering doing the same to be used on medium-small sized stickbaits(75-85 gm) like Daiwa Dorado slider, but haven't tried them yet
Here are some pics comparing the 11/0 sized Gamakatsu live bait hooks to Shout Kudako 6/0

That's really useful Mahmoud. Thanks for that.

I use a smaller size of this hook on knife jigs. They are a good hook.
I love gamakatsu hooks. I use them exclusively for demersal & estuary fishing. Sharpest in the biz by a mile!
ZERO corrosion resistance though :-\
