Had a fantastic little trip over at 'Trees and fishes' lodge with Ocean Blue.
Highlights for me were an awesome GT that I placed in the 40-45kg bracket and my first ever Dogtooth Tuna on popper which was a neat 12kg.
My mate Craig also snared a nice Doggie on popper which came in at 20kg and he got an even bigger fish of 35kg on the troll.
Gotta thank the two Sydney anglers Wayne Brown & his son in law Trent who both made for great company.8) 8)

Excellent Pete and well done. Did you get any measurements on that large GT?
And lots of good "air time" for the Heru Skipjack there!

I didnt Mark,as no measurer or anything was on board.
I really wanted to measure the fish as it was long.

I would post my fish pics up as well Peter, but to be honest the better fish were landed by the better anglers. Well done to both you and Craig.

Fantastic stuff Petey! I have always been fascinated with Vanuatu, and in fact my cousin has just been there on a sailing boat for 4 months. Sounds like the wahoo are thick over there, did you get any wahoo, dollies or YFT on your surface presentations?
Brilliant pics, thanks for sharing

Cheers Angus,
No hoo or dollies on the surface stuff although we had a troll with divers there one day when the wind became pretty wild.Got attacked pretty quickly by Wahoo.I wont mention what the deckie did at the gaff but lets just say the fish didnt make it on board... ;D
We went back to casting and jigging pretty quickly.
